PDF or Word?
This may sound kind of trivial, but if an analyst offers to take a look at your resume should I send it in word or pdf?

pdf. make sure you print your resume from a word doc though
I'll bite. Why print it from word? I've never noticed a difference.
(to answer the OP, always send resumes in PDF unless explicitly told not to)
already been said, but pdf. no question. you don't wanna risk one of the many weird things that can happen to a nicely formatted resume when you send it from computer to computer. if they're using a different version of word, or (god forbid) you're using a Mac and they have a PC, etc... Diamonds are forever, and so is PDF formatting
Always pdf
