PE VP / Sr Aso ➡️ Banking?
Any other people targeting pe vp or sr asso roles but thinking about going back to banking given the absolutely repulsive hiring market?

Career Resources
I did a networking chat with an alum who did this somewhat recently. Went from large cap PE to banking and seemed really happy with the decision
Makes me think a bit more about trying out PE
What level of bank ?
EB
Did they go to banning at a more senior level than if they had stayed in banking the whole time? Or complete parity
Most firms you take a year back.
Couple dudes at my EB did this, neither was given credit for their prior experience. One was two years IB analyst / 2 years corp dev, the other was 2 years IB / 2 years PE at a pretty well known MM shop. Neither of them really got any credit for their previous roles, as they both entered as MBA associates in the same class as their peers. FWIW, they were both well ahead of the game in terms of technical acumen / skills and great at their jobs, but they didn't get any sort of early promotion..
1:1 credit for PE years but no accelerated promo
Bro doesn't feel excited with PE style DIY formatting?
feel like pure shit just want the Mumbai pres team back
