People

In this business (IB, consulting, etc) do you have to be the type of person that is aggressive and pushes his/her ideas blocking others, try to monopolize the work, take opportunities from others, and the likes or, do people chill and just be good men to each other? Im not quite sure what the "culture" is. Is it enough to do good work or do you have to get people to really like you? What if you're an introvert?

Where would you find all these people if your worries were an accurate description of reality? If you think of all the people you've met (business people or not) adding a few extra years of maturity and subtracting some college hybris, are the above characteristics common amomg those you've met?

I think not. No, you don't have to be that type of person.
