How much of your bonus actually based on your performance (making an accurate and well formatted work product) versus other factors such as luck (being staffed on lucrative deals), face-timing, having a positive attitude, or just convincing everyone that you want to work for your firm forever and are not interviewing for PE??

im in forex trading and 90% came from my performance.
yes this is for IB and not trading, where as an analyst you have no P&L so its very subjective...
my friend working at MS (1st year anal) said his was 35% performance based. not sure about accuracy...
