Person I'm networking with is giving me weird vibes

I'm networking with someone and they have cancelled 3 times already. They always reply excitedly, but either text that something has come up on the day of or just don't show up to the call. I know that people in IB are supposed to be incredibly busy, but this has been the third time with minimal explanation. Should I just move on at this point?

Not everyone wants to refer any student who reached out from a different school. Most are not helpful if you do not build strong rapport.

Look to network with other people, cast a wide net and apply to many firms, ideally ones that have alumni from your school. You don't need to network much when applying to boutiques, however.

+1 to the above, the farther removed you are from someone, the more you'll need to build rapport before making any kind of ask.
