Personal Investing as a junior employee
I was wondering what firm's policies on allowing analysts and associates to hold securities with an outside firm in a managed account would be? Obviously having duplicate statements and trade confirmations sent to compliance, but letting a manager take care of your accounts. I know at GS for example the low end accounts employee accounts were migrated to Fidelity.
Thanks for your insight!
Bump...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Most firms will have a few brokerage firms that are approved (Fidelity, Schwab, etc.) and getting them to let you keep an account at a brokerage that isn't approved can be difficult.
If its a complete discretionary account most firms will allow you to keep the account. If you have control then your going to have to migrate to one of a few select pre-approved brokers.
