Pick an offer - Project finance in Renewable Energy/Infra vs Asset management for Developer

Hi All,

Appreciate everyone's insight on this forum, has helped me a bunch. This is my first post.

Quick background on me:

Based in Europe. Had 2 years big 4 experience in credit risk, then 1 year experience in a DFI PE team, focused on Renewable energy.

The 1 year experience with the PE team was not that pleasant and didn't end that well.

Now I have two very different offers in my hand.

Offer 1: Project finance in a local tier 1 bank, focused on renewable energy/infra (Associate).

Offer 2: Asset management in a real estate global developer (senior analyst).

I have no experience in AM or real estate and I dont have strong preference in industry.

The AM position offers 10% higher salary comparing to the PF position. The title is about the same.

Question 1: Do you think real estate in general have better compensation comparing to renewable energy?

Question 2: If there is any downturn coming to real estate, do you think it will significantly affect AM position?

Question 3: I have check lots of post about PF but still not quite sure what would be the career path there? Anyone has any insight?

Because of my last year experience with the renewable energy PE, I am quite insecure about the PF position ...This just makes it even more difficult to make the decision.

Really appreciate any insight and reply.

Thanks!
