Piper Sandler Acquiring DBO?
Just saw that Piper has agreed to acquired DBO on the news - anybody have any thoughts on this? What does this mean for parties involved?

Just a prospect here, but have been following both companies during recruiting. Will say that everyone I talked to at PSC was really down on their tech business on the west coast and mostly worked on VC raises. DBO has been killing it recently (look at the deal announcement for their deals) so Im assuming this'll be a huge win. Interested to see how the teams interact

Seems like their next move is REGL or expanding oversea after they acquired Sandler (FIG), Simmons (Energy), Valence (Chemicals), DBO (Tech), Stamford (Consumer UK).
Sandler, now part of PSC, technically has a RE group, they just suck and it's like 6 bodies total.
There's a lower-mm / boutique on the market recently and I haven't seen a buyer announced yet. Wonder if it'll be PSC that ends up scooping them up. Citizens has also been trying to aggressively build their banking practice inorganically over the years (Bowstring, Western Reserve, JMP, DH) or even HL (GCA, MVP, Freeman).
