PJ Solomon
Can anyone share some insight into PJ Solomon's Generalist / Consumer & Retail Group? Is the experience/culture solid? How about exits to PE/ VC? Any insight would be great!

bump
Great culture starting from top down (pretty top heavy shop until recently), seniors are extremely empathetic and actually provide mentorship / accessibility all the way up the ladder. Analysts are extremely hands on and the level of responsibility is absurdly high from day one, learning curve is steep (may be expected to communicate directly with client, field calls from sponsors, run point on model very early on). Very little busy work as teams are very lean and need to be efficient; almost always on something live. Firm is growing explosively fast, has added ~7 MDs in the past year or so and added ~4 new verticals in the same time. MM is the mode but sample size is small, opportunities in UMM and MF are accessible but certainly take more leg work.
So half the analysts stay on as a2a? wow
You sure that opportunities to MF are possible? I've never seen it happen though my recruiting is a bit dated at this point. Turned them down a few years back..
How would it compare to a dyal, dbo, m klein, incentrum type of shop? On more or less equal standing or a tier below?
bump - any other thoughts?
Tier below klein dbo and dyal. Probably similar to incentrum.
