Career Resources
Do you want to live in NYC or Chicago? Comp will generally be +/-5-10% so shouldnt be a dealbreaker at the analyst level.
What type of industries are you into? I would say if ur interested in TMT or industrials or HC go to WB if you like consumer/retail/pui then PJS.
Exits are similar, typically to MM PE funds, hard for either to get into a MF.
This is spot-on.
Is Blair definitely better for TMT? I thought PJ Solomon is pretty strong in media / entertainment too
Definitely agree about the other industries though
Strong NYC preference, slight TMT or consumer preference. Interesting about TMT thought, was under impression that PJS had slightly better flow
PJS I would say has better flow in media. Technology definitely not. Telecom they hired a pretty well known telecom MD from BCAP but that's primarily focused on the tele infra side
I'd agree that if you have a strong location preference, that is probably enough of a deciding factor to choose between the two.
Personally I'd go with PJS, but I don't think there's a wrong decision either way
