PJT vs. Gugg
Thinking about both options. Both in M&A anybody have any advice on which group would be better for exit opportunities

PJT is a level above. congrats
Go PJT, its an EB and on par with EVR/MOE/CVP
I'll slap you if you take gugg
Can't provide color on that but wondering, I was on gugg's site recently and saw that they have an S&T arm. What gives? I thought EBs don't have balance sheets?
Gugg has a balance sheet and will leverage it to raise capital as well. More akin to a JEF in business model than pure advisory
That makes sense. Thanks so much!
There are only a handful of firms that have the trust of the largest of the corporations to complete the most complex transactions, of which PJT is one. Guggenheim attempted to break into this space, but hasn’t been successful, hence the MM build out across T2/T3 locales. Just looking at US M&A transactions, Gugg’s average deal size is $500mm vs. $3bn for PJT
Using a pretty small sample size here. Gugg ended up a bit over 2 billion/deal last year and actually ahead of PJT on total value. Obviously should take PJT, but this isn’t some random MM firm
