Recently received an analyst 1 lateral position and was wondering how likely / accomodating are big banks with allowing for a 1-2 month start date delay (e.g., April --> May or June). The primary reasons for the ask is to have adequate time to relocating to new city

Can’t hurt to ask, just say if not possible to delay you will make the current start date work.
Also I passed the 79 after 4 days after studying and 63 after 2 full days. They ain’t that bad
1 month is reasonable enough, worth an ask. 2 months probably not. I would go through HR and say you'd like more time to figure out the relocation if possible.
The series exams aren't a good excuse though. You can't take them until you start at the firm sponsoring you, and even the hardest exam is like a weekend of studying
