Potential FT offer vs Summer offer

Asking for a friend.

Say you're starting an IBD summer internship in June 2017 at a BB with the hope to convert to a FT offer for after graduation in June 2018 (but ofc this is not guaranteed). What would you do if you received a summer offer for June 2018 at an EB and so clashes with the potential BB FT offer? Would you accept the EB knowing that you might not receive the FT offer from the BB or would you reject the EB knowing that you could be asked back for the FT offer at the BB?

Thanks!

You're saying your "friend" was able to receive a FT offer for a EB for starting June 2018? I'd be really surprised if this was the case given the top groups (MoelisLAZ/EVR/PJT/CVP) will only bother doing FT recruiting after summer 2017.

Can you give more color on the strength/group of BB vs EB?
