RBC is overall number 1 but that's only because of its relatively strong US presence giving more optionality.  Domestically, TD is right up there in terms of dealflow.  After that, it's probably BMO but they have a very weird culture.  CIBC/Scotia comes after that; think CIBC is a little stronger but Scotia has generally more of a chill culture.  CIBC has some pretty good groups like their Diversified which gives you exposure to a few separate verticals.
