Okay don't do banking.. but what else can we do? What's a good career path for CS and finance? I kinda want both because SE Is boring as shit.

 

Go to FinTech or any quant-y type role, etc. Unless you actually like valuing companies and listening/giving strategic advice, you are really not going to like IB at all, or high finance in general.

Top tech offers similar pay range (albeit with lower ceiling), better work life balance, etc. Ask around your alumni and I'm sure they can give you right guidance.
