Private Credit Info
For the people in banking who moved to PC. Do you actually enjoy your jobs? What does the day to day look like? Are hours better than IB? Do you guys plan to stay long term? If not, how do exit opps look like?

I intern at a middle market private credit firm right now. Hours are 50-60 a week for my superiors who came from IB.

I think this will highly fluctuate. There is so much competition in PC space, I am sure everyone is getting grinded.

I do. I’m a senior associate and the dollars per hour feels unbeatable at 50-55 hours per week. The volume of deals means you learn a lot, people get annoyed as the transactions end up looking pretty similar after a while, but it doesn’t bother me too much as every deal has some sort of twist

Just got a PC role in my inbox from benifit street partners for an associate role at 150 base with bonuses. Dont know know about culture/hours, but base alone is pretty standard with IB associates (im sure bonus is different however)
