What type of backgrounds to private debt guys usually have (accounting, ibanking?) How is a private debt fund different than a pe fund or hedge fund investment-wise?
Most hedge funds have 2/20 structure with some variation but how are private debt funds structured compensation wise? Know the investments typically mature 2-3 years...most are held to maturity and receive interest.
Are they master/feeder like funds also? Anyone have link to somewhere I can read up on private debt??? (structure, investments, pik, etc.)
