Probably being let go from CS cuts- Need Guidence

I lateraled into banking about a year ago from the S&T space and was hoping for the promotion come this June. However, all hopes for that went out the door given the CS/UBS transaction. My COO gave me a call just before leaving for vacation to give me as much time as possible to prepare. I never thought I’d have to go through this in my career and I have been extremely anxious and worried given I have bills to pay. Can anyone offer any advice on how I can use this as an opportunity to grow? From my observation, I am seeing a lot of cuts and low volume.
