Public Intoxication Ticket
Just looking for some quick advice. I'm starting full time at a BB and am doing a background check. I received a public intoxication about 1.5 years back and was wondering if this will affect my full time employment.
Thanks
It shouldn't but it will come up if your bank requires you to be licensed with FINRA.
Yeah we are required to be registered with FINRA
Do you think it would be a thing that would cause them to pull my job offer?
Don't mess around with trying to hide ANYTHING involving the law. Non-violent misdemeanor crimes are hardly ever a deal breaker, and I've never heard anyone losing a job offer over it. Where you will get in trouble, is if you try to hide it or don't disclose it on a form or something.
However, if you've got this incident sealed by the prosecuting court, then I don't think it comes up during an employment check, but I'm not lawyer so I'd check into that. Good luck, and be honest and you'll be fine.
