PUI Senior Analyst - General PE

Hey all, wanted to pick your brains about a move. I am at BB and having spent the first two years in Generalist M&A (Tech, Healthcare, Consumer deal experience). Now have the option to switch groups and tempted to go to PUI or RE. Leaning towards PUI as it makes for a nice niche change and is a bit more quanty. Will likely want to recruit for General PE after 1 year at the new desk, or go to a different sector team. Will I get any looks from non-Infra funds or am I effectively closing that door?
