Had heard good things about this group and was wondering if anyone had updated color on culture compared to other groups at pwp, exits, etc? Seems like the leadership is pretty phenomenal (Jeff Stute) and was wondering how they’re seen on the street.

Definitely has the most deal flow at the firm but it comes at the cost of compared to the other groups. They are in-office 4-5 days a week vs 3 for every other group. No protected saturdays like the other groups. No protected weekends once a quarter like the other groups. You’ll definitely meet some different personalities that can rub the wrong way. Overall strong but just know what you’re getting yourself into.

Prob similar to RX. C&R and Industrials is what the better culture looks like.

Do you know what the protected saturday/weekend policy looks like for non-NYC offices?
Not all true. Protected Fri night/Sat morn and protected weekends by quarter is a thing in HC group. Protection isn’t as strong as like a BB tho to be fair to the above post.
For some reason they are really weak in certain areas (primary care, home health, outpatient rehab) - 0 or close to 0 transactions in those industries. Do they play more in HCIT / tech / pharma vs. services?

Correct - lot's of JPM DNA in the team, considering the HC team was founded by JPM seniors.
Strong group, but as someone's noted PWP HC tends to have its strength concentrated in certain verticals. Probably the best medtech practice on the street, and life science tools & diagnostics is also up there.
