Hi all, wondering if anyone is familiar with Qatalyst’s PE exit in London team - they are quite lean in London around ~10-12 people altogether, and historical exits seem mainly to MM tech funds/VCs
It is a good place if the goal is to transit into UMM/MF PE fund? Highly regard Qatalyst in the advisory side, but London PE market is just run by HH for gate keeping

If you want large cap PE you will have to lateral to a BB (GS/JPM/MS to maximise your chances). Good luck
They don’t care about exiting to PE neither from money perspective (pay is higher at Q) nor opportunities (Q sells assets that are much cooler than what any Tech PE fund invests in). If you check their website, they actually rarely sell to sponsors. Guess you dislike funds if you work there lol
As far as I know they are extremely well paid - think AN1 was 90k gbp base 3+ years ago and assocs get high base plus bonus plus share of profits every year (with clawback tho) - they make more money there than they would at PEs - so no incentive to exit from the money perspective at least
