Qualifications for IBD Analyst Positions
Hi everyone, looking for some insight.
Currently, I am not in IB but want to make that step going forward. Many of the companies I wish to apply to state in their qualifications that they require "1-2 years investment banking experience." I have relevant financial services experience, including experience with excel and common financial tools (I also am a CFA candidate), but I do not have any IB experience. Does this matter and should I be applying to the jobs anyway, or does this literally mean that this company does not hire experienced hires that have no experience in IB for that position?
