Question about Degrees for IB in London

This question may seem quite strange to the students from the UK / US, but as Europe signed that "bologna process" in 99, many students especially in Germany dont know what their degree is worth. If someone wants to work at an investment bank in Germany, he´ll need a master. so most IB guys in Germany are around 25,26 or 27 when they get their first analyst job. I dont think it´s worth to start investment banking when you´re nearly 30...

Now my questions: Is it true that Investment Banks in London recruit bachelor for their summer-internships? and that in most cases, those internships are for "bachelors only" ?

i thought about studying in St.Gallen, Switzerland and trying to get an internship in London as a bachelor, because as i heard St.Gallen places very well in London. Getting good "first internships" isn't hard as Zürich is only 30min away, but i guess that competition is still hard as you have to compete with all those UK-universities

Thanks to those who can answer my questions.

It is true. In the UK IBs begin recruiting their future hires when the latter are in their first year. At targets, it is not unusual to have 2-3 presentations / networking sessions / CV checks from all sorts of financial institutions.

There are five or six target unis over here (three of them in London), from which all BBs recruit for FO positions. From the ones in London, 80% want to be in FO, so the competition is very intense.

I cannot tell you on how good your chances are in Zürich, however it will definitely be less competitive than the City. If I were you I would try to pick up as much relevant experience as you can, complete your degree and apply for a good masters course here in the UK (preferably in London, as it is much easier to network and attend all the events.)
