Question about managing Risk

Is it truly the best strategy to fortify Australia and then make your move outwards once everyone overextends themselves, or should you stake out in somewhere like Africa and be there when the shit hits the fan? Thanks.

But where do you go after you lock down Australia? Long treks exposed to lots of attacks ?

North America really isn't that hard to hold if you're willing to wait on accumulating territories and just build up bonuses. Europe is just full of contagion once one country goes down.

As long as you time it right, you should have stocked up well enough in Australia to make a calculated and strategic outward advance.
