I used to work in a back office role at an investment bank, but was put on the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). Then I quit right after that and chose to go to business school, hoping to recruit for IB Asso role. Will the PIP affect my recruitment? And will it affect me recruiting for IB at that same bank?

It kind of doesn't matter. You should still recruit everywhere, just don't get your heart set on that one bank.
Thank you! Yeah will try to recruit as many as I can
Nope won’t matter. I was put on PIP, bailed on my bank for a competitor, was rehired with a promotion by the bank which put me on PIP. Ignore my title, I am a director now.
Thank you for sharing! Appreciate the advice
Damn your old boss must’ve been an idiot. Coming back with a promotion is the ultimate power move.
