Question re layoffs

I recently got laid off (general workforce reduction due to market conditions) from an IB role. I have only received a notice so far and my role will be officially terminated in November this year.

In my upcoming job search, I plan to come clean to other IBs (they will find out anyway), but I am hesitant to do so once recruiting for corporate/other jobs.

So here are my questions: 1) Since I'm on payroll till November, is it fair to say (on my resume) that I am still employed? 2) Once my potential future employer verifies my employment at the bank before November, will they get information that "yes, (s)he is an employee" or "her/his employment will be terminated as of November"?

Thanks!
