Questions About Companies to Target for Sophomore Summer Internship?

I just transferred to a semi-target/target and discovered that IB was a thing - it's really interesting but I have no prior financial experience I can put on my resume, and I'm not sure which companies to network with / cold email for summer internships. I feel like with no experience the BBs are out of the question. Should I just be googling "Investment banks / PE  in X" and targeting all of those? Is there a way to gauge the name value or attractiveness of each company for future resume? Also, if I can get an internship at a wealth management or asset management company thanks to a stronger connection, should I take that over a boutique? Am I too late to the process to be starting this? Or too early? Really just looking for feedback/ideas in general. If I'm missing something obvious or sound like an idiot let me know. Thanks.
