Quickie Doostang Question

Can companies tell who has clicked on and read their job ads on Doostang? There's a specific ad I am a perfect match for, and I recently met the recruiting director so I want to be able to say that I came across the job listing on the company's website while exploring company info, though I actually found it on Doostang.

Edmundo BravermanDude, if you think you're a perfect fit, why would you lie? I don't see any possible advantage, and if you're hoping for a long term gig with these guys, build it on a foundation of truth. Starting off with a lie dooms you to be a liar for your entire tenure. Just my two cents.

Good point, thanks. Honesty is the best policy.

feenansDude if they didn't want kids to apply through doostang they wouldnt post it

Actually, one time I spoke with the sole recruiting associate at a very small IB with no HR, and he had never even heard of Doostang, much less posted the job ad I saw. Though, I'm sure, someone else did, but it was still odd.

Edmundo - that's another good point, ha.

I know several people who have come across fake job postings on Doostang. I have also had many experiences with job postings on doostang where the firm in question had never heard of doostang when I reached out to them.

As far as I know, the Doostang team definitely puts fake jobs on their site to make their premium service look better than it actually is. Still a good site to get leads, but the team is definitely doing something shady.
