Quitting in 6 months?
Currently in my 6months at a top EB/BB (did 1 year of different banking job before). Is this a career suicide move if I try to recruit for a long/short equity role right now? I am just worried that my bosses will hate me if I try to move to a new job now given that it has only been 6 months in my current job.
I just want to know if my bosses will give very bad reference even if I somehow land a new job in the hedge fund space since I am trying to quit so early. I don't care about year-end bonuses or whatnot. I just want to do what I like which I think is investing.
Do whatever u want man. Your life.
Second this. Life’s too short. Do what’s best for you. That said, I doubt they would care senior folk get that banking is not for everyone.
I’m in the same boat: I’m 5 months in and am applying like crazy. Banking fucking sucks and I want to leave
