drexelalum11Is someone suggesting that relationships matter in politics and business? I'm shocked, just shocked.

No, he is not suggesting that; that is common knowledge. What he is doing is pointing out corruption.

What in that video had anything to do with corruption? If Glen Beck thinks any of that is actual corruption, he needs to buy a dictionary.

I would just like everyone to note this comment. Even if you do not agree with GB, you believe he is making something out of nothing, it is all B.S., etc...you should still be able to catch the video's main point which is that the US govt is corrupt.

I understand that is the purported point of the video, and the word corruption is used, but there is nothing in the content that even approaches corruption. Corruption is taking a bribe or having an opponent arrested; it is not what Glen Beck described. He simply used the word because his audience has difficulty expressing nuanced concepts, and corruption is more exciting than what he was actually discussing.

I don't think that...I lve Glenn Beck...whe he isn't talking about finance. That is a subject where he has no idea what he is talking about. He is like...OMG!!! a bunch of people from GS are working in the White House....CONSPIRACY!!!! Rahm Emmanuel made a lot of money in finance...and now he is purportedly helping out financial firms...CONSPIRACY!!! Come one....although I think Rahm is looking out for finance (as much as a Dem can). Also...connections are bad??? I mean has he never heard of patrogane? It happens all the time. I mean what is Rahm, I mean the 44th president of the United States, supposed to do? Pick someone he doesn't know or someone that is proven to be able to make money? I mean there is a level of dishonesty there, but it isn't a bad pick. I mean if he picked his retarded brother...thats something, but a time tested financial guy that was a former partner? Why not?

So what do you do? -I work for an investment banking firm. Oh okay; you are like my brother, he works for Edward Jones. -No, a college degree is required in my profession

Reality hits you hard, bro...
