Reaching out for help! Graduated/Low GPA/No Relevant IB Experience

Hello,

I'm a recent economics graduate from UC Berkeley in search of IB experience.

I transferred to UC Berkeley with a 3.92 GPA from a CC but failed to maintain a good GPA during my time at UCB. I ended up graduating with a 2.8 GPA due to my dad being laid off and having to work during the night at a bar.

After graduating I had a few interview for internships at boutique IB but wasn't offered a position. I have experience interning at a small accounting firm doing financial statement analysis, preparing financial reports, and answering accounting procedure questions for clients. Since I have no real investment banking experience, I want to do an internship to build my resume from there.

Despite being a graduate with a low GPA, how can I position myself better so that I can get more interviews? I know that with my background It will be hard to get an internship from a BB. Just any advice would help.

Thanks.
