Recomendation Letter from MD

Assuming,my MD is giving me a recommendation letter for my Summer Associate Position with them. They do not have capacity for full time position now. I am applying to full time positions right now in other firms. My two questions:

When should be one submitting the recommendation letter?

Is it okay to submit in additional documents tab in online applications?

All insights welcome!

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, keep looking for an ib position but hedge your bets by looking at other less competitive areas as well. The odds of you getting into investment banking at this point are slim to none.

Don't end being one of those people who have been out of work for a year and still haven't found anything or worse yet, like the guy posting earlier who had been in an unpaid "internship" for a year with no hopes of ever getting a full time paid position.

Thanks for your insight. I know IB is a tough nut to break. I am exploring other options also. I am on F1 Visa and I have to to be in full time position sooner to maintain my status.
