Recommendation Question
I have been working at a BB wealth management office part-time for about a year now. I just interviewed with the same BB for an investment banking analyst full-time position. My boss in the wealth management office offered to call the director I interviewed with to recommend me. Is this a good idea? For some reason I think the director will just get annoyed.
Ummm...if he's making the offer, go for it.
More than likely, the director will appreciate getting an inside track on how you are as a prospective employee.
I interviewed with the director and a few other bankers. He is the most senior of the group though.
Of course it is a good idea.
He wouldn't have offered to make the call if he thought it was a bad idea. If you asked him to make the call, that would be another story. But if he put it out there that's a great vote in your favor.
You stupid or something? Of course its a good idea. Maybe if you asked your dad to make a call to recommend you then yeah, that's pretty stupid. : /
I think it would depend on who his dad is. But as for the OP, its a good idea. You should be thankful/proud he is willing to call. Good luck.
