Curious as to whether or not it would be acceptable to add a recommendations section with a my current employer's name and email (potentially others too) seeing as I was advised to by a managing partner at my small firm. This would be done strictly for the banks that do not have a section for that. Personally I thought it was odd but his advice has never steered me wrong thus far. My initial thought was that this would be a little strange.

Don't do it, use the space in your CV for more useful things. If they ask for a recommendation then provide it
