Interviewing at an IB and had my first round last week. The recruiter at the firm reached out to me to schedule a call this week. Could this be a rejection call? All my past rejections or moving onto super days have been over email. Found it odd they would set up a call after the first round so not sure what to expect.

To answer your question directly, yes. It could be a rejection call.
It could also be a call to put your through to the next round. It could also be a clarification of something on your CV. It could be anything.
