Recruiter's response to renege

What is the usual response from a BB if it found out that I renege from another bank (same location for summer internship)? Would they just ignore me (withdraw offer without notice)? or call me to tell me that the offer is rescinded? I have signed with the BB, but they have not followed up with me on background check etc.

Should I just wait and see, or continue interviewing to hedge or chase BB recruiter for update?

Thanks, btw some threads try to scare people by saying recruiters talk to each other. To what extent this will be, given my SA is campus recruiting and I do see network invitation from other banks during the internship. Does it mean that there is no way to hide that the BB will eventually find out? the firm I renege on is an elite MM that also invites interns for reception.

No one can tell you for certain.

It's true to a certain degree that BBs communicate with other BBs as far as employment goes, but to what degree you'll never know. All depends on how high up the position is etc.

If they call you and reject you, you can always ask them if they had a reasoning behind it or if they have any constructive criticism. Usually if there is an issue with another employer they will let you know if you ask in a very polite way.
