Recruiting Advice

I started recruiting for IB extremely late (like mid-May late!) for the 2023 SA internships. Fortunately, I managed to get an offer at a MM in a non-NYC, city-specific industry group (think Chicago industrials, Houston O&G, or SF tech).

I am from the NYC area, and I really want to work there after graduation. If they do not allow me to switch offices after the summer internship, which is a strong possibility, I would be interested in pursuing FT recruiting for NYC.

Should I continue networking throughout the school year or would that look like I am trying to "jump ship" before giving my firm a chance? It is a tough dynamic to balance in my eyes.

Commenting for reach + to keep an eye out – am in a similar situation and would love to hear advice
