Wow, this is a tough one. I would tend to say that you shouldn't have much to worry about, but I don't know much about fingerprinting logs. I also am not sure if posting about this is a good idea or not, although it has already been done.

Also, don't think it's possible to get a 3.95 after even a semester of 3.35, but that's besides the point.

I would just not bring it up to anyone unless confronted. People make mistakes, and it seems like you've gotten lucky and done a good job of making up for it.

I believe the problem exists if you were convicted of or pleaded no contest to a crime like this. The reason is to protect people who were wrongly accused, but unfortunately your friend benefits from this as well.
