Country/Regional Coverage Banking

What does the day to day for a Regional Coverage such as UK or any other regional coverage banker look like? Also, what are the exits like? For example, for the Buyside if you are covering a fairly unknown region that the PE fund you are recuiting for does not tend invest in, would that affect your chances? (since I guess your expertise would be built on region specfics).

Would love to know more from some coverage bankers, thanks!

UK is typically not referred to as a "region"... it's more country coverage.

Regional coverage is more Europe, or EMEA for instance.

Also, what product/team are you referring to? Investment Banking or Corporate Banking??

Some of the BBs in the UK have 'UK teams'- was wondering what their responsibilies are day to day

Especially since some of the banks have their own 'M&A' teams (or other product specific teams) etc so wanted to know when the country/regional coverage get involved and what their value add is on deals.

I'm referring to Investment Banking but would also be nice to know what Corporate Broking guys do if you know that also!
