regional office size

If you're not in NY, how much does size of regional matter in terms of overall analyst experience? For ex, when deciding between chicago and dallas or sf and la. The bigger office will obviously provide a larger network but is that really that important at the analyst level / early part of your career? It seems like the way staffing levels work, even if you're at a smaller office, the workload is similar when comparing small vs big office.

Thanks
