UK only - For those who got paid their relocation bonus at the start of their stint, did you manage to find a way to not pay taxes on it? Was told by some that relocation bonuses up to 8k are not taxed but not sure how to get this benefit

Where did you relocate from and how much relocation bonus did you get?
wasn't really a relocation, literally London --> closer to office part of London
You need to file a self-assessment tax return to claim the tax back. Did it myself a few years ago when I started my analyst stint.
