Renege IB for SWE?
I'm a sophomore at a target who has secured an IBD SA position for summer 2023 at a top BB/EB. However, lately I've been getting more and more interested in the tech space, seeing the growth of new startups and their crazy salaries--my freshman internship was in SWE, and so is my upcoming sophomore internship. Assuming I land a junior summer SWE internship at a top unicorn, would I be crazy to give up my SA position for tech?
Not crazy if you realize you don’t want to do finance anymore.
