Reneging on a temp job?
Sorry if this is a stupid question but how bad is it if you renege a temp position for a full time one? I tried looking for answers, but they were all about FT to another FT.

Career Resources
I think it could play out poorly if you don't explain it well. Be courteous, up-front, and honest and do what you gotta' do for our career.
Honestly, I don't think reneging is considered the same for temp jobs. Did you have a contract that said when your time would end? If not, then they will let you go whenever they are ready. Everyone that is temping is looking for a full time job, and most people know that.
You should give the place that you are planning on renegging on a chance to offer you a full time position. If they don't, then you have no choice.
Please please do not pass on the ft offer for courtesy. Plus, it is not as expensive to hire a temp (they could have your temp spot filled within days), they don't have to go through healthcare, 401k, employment agreement paperwork. So I don't think many people would mind too much
Do what is best for you. Just give them enough notice and be professional.
Treat them as they treat you. Period.
