Reneging on Spring Week Conversion

Hi All,

I was curious about how common/risky it is for students to renege on a summer internship offer they received after converting a spring week. There are quite a few posts on this, but I wanted to hear about this specific situation given that through the spring week you would've spent more time with the firm. I’ve heard people at my uni talk about this, but I’m getting mixed input on how risky it actually is. I’m especially interested in how this plays out if the firm you renege on has already mostly finished their recruitment cycle by the time you renege.

Any insight is appreciated.
