I am interviewing with a top middle market boutique investment banking firm for a Research Associate role, and I am wondering what to expect for a salary. The firm is headquartered in Boston, with nine locations around the country and London. I would be working in the Boston office and would be the only research associate in the firm and managing a research analyst. The firm offers a wide variety of services, including M&A, restructuring and recapitalizing, and a couple other things. They have many industry verticals.
A little about me: I was a primary research market research assistant at a private equity due diligence firm in Boston for five years, but the work I would be doing in this new role is quite different than the work I was doing there. My background is in editing and publishing for the most part, but I also have management experience. My education is as follows: BA in English from UMass (GPA 3.77, summa cum laude), MS in business from NYU (GPA 3.86), and a post-baccalaureate in English from Columbia (GPA 3.54).
