Respond to HR?

Here's my situation:

I've recently accepted an offer at an EB for summer 2021. Separately, I was part of an on campus/alumni mentorship program with a BB whose application opens in July (think GS, BAML,).

I've notified my mentor that I've accepted an offer, and will no longer be able to participate in the mentorship program leading up to the application kickoff. Now, the BB HR has emailed me asking **where **I've accepted my offer for next summer.

Why does HR care where I received my offer? Is it unwise to ignore the email? How do I respond?

Thank you all for the input!

Yes, GS/BAML wants to know which EB did you dinge them for

“Destiny is a gift. Some go their entire lives, living existences of quiet desperation, never learning the truth that what feels as though a burden pushing down upon their shoulders is really a sense of purpose that lifts us to greater heights. Never forget that fear is but the precursor to valor, that to strive and triumph in the face of fear is what it means to be a hero. Don’t think. Become.”

Well because when your gf dumps you you want to look up on Facebook the profile of the fucker who cucked you

Is there an actual way to do something like that in settings or you mean just not update it?

It's just for their own internal recruiting knowledge- they want to know who they are losing out talent to. I personally have always told them just to be nice, as there isn't really a downside and it's not like you did anything wrong accepting another offer. But it also wouldn't be a big deal if you ignored/didn't tell them, so really just do whatever you're comfortable with.
