Restructuring as Entry-Level

What are the pros and cons of starting an IB career in RX in an EB? Are exit opps more limited than, say, M&A or common industry groups at a BB? And what are some of the top firms for RX? Would appreciate the help!Asking because restructuring interests me but it seems like you'd have to commit to it pretty early as I read that lateral hires are more difficult… Split between trying for summer analyst RX at a top EB or the more traditional M&A groups at a BB (of course no guarantee I'd even have the options, just want to see which side might be better to focus on come recruiting).

My honest advice would be to think about what you want and not what you read on here; because it sounds like you’re just parroting the general consensus. All your posts are about who is the “best group.”

Also get an offer at a Rx shop or EB M&A before you consider because probability says you won’t even if you’re at a target.

Thanks for the advice! And yea as you say, obviously there’s no guarantee I’d have the privilege of choosing anyway. Just thought anyone’s personal experiences on rx entry-level would help decide what’s best for me.
