Restructuring GPA?
Non-diversity candidate from non-Ivy target. Was wondering what the GPA cutoff was for tier 1/2/3 firms and if anyone has been able to break in with lower GPAs (sub 3.75).

Know of someone who got an offer at (EVR, MOE, HL) with 3.3. Really smart guy and had great internships. I'm sure they also had connections
The majority of the analyst classes at the top 3-4 rx groups have a GPA above 3.9. There are a couple people each year with 3.7s or 3.8s in each group, but there is definitely still a filter there.
Is GPA bar lower for diversity? Expecting to have ~3.82 and aiming for EVR/PJT/HL
Not really. The standard is going to be the same for everyone, and this is because of how competitive rx actually are. 3.82 might/probably will be enough for some of those tier b rx firms, but especially for pjt\evr it will be difficult.
Disagree, there's definitely a lower bar for diversity candidates. Also, a GPA of 3.8+ is not a barrier to getting interviews if you're at a top target, just have to network.
Also disagree. There are a couple non-diverse kids with GPAs ~3.8 in the RSSG 2025 SA class, albeit they go to target schools. That GPA should be just fine. With that said, there is a correlation between GPA and kids who interview the best.
I’m not sure there’s so much a bar. Think kids with high gpas just tend to on average do better in interviews / have better experience. So it’s definitely possible to get interview and offer with lower gpa
I did Rothschild Rx and had a 3.6…. It’s not rocket science lol maybe this is how they’re hiring but I’m a little surprised hah
