Restructuring Interview 1st Round

Hi everyone,

I was fortunate enough to be selected for an interview for restructuring with HL. Last summer I interned with a boutique lower middle market M&A bank and now am interviewing for full-time analyst gigs. Would anyone be able to provide some sample questions or guidance on how to approach this interview as I have minimal knowledge about the industry (quick turnaround, only 1 day to prepare for the interview)? I've read other posts and haven't seen anything precise on the questions I could get asked. I went through the HL Case and M&I guide already.

Same preparation as for any other group in general, although HL restructuring interviews are fairly technical so just know your stuff on that side through and through.

In terms of restructuring specific you don't need to know much, but do know simple restructuring differences on topics such as secured vs. unsecured and Chapter 11 vs. Chapter 7. Just understand the difference between each, and also have an answer for why you're interested in restructuring.
